Humpback Whales
Every year Humpback whales play in the waters of Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast. They spend the winter here in the tropical warm QLD waters to avoid the harsh cold of the southern waters. Mothers bring their calves into the bay to teach them survival techniques and fatten them up before their epic migration back to the cooler waters of the south.
