General

What time should we get to our cruise?

We ask that you be at the boat ready for boarding 15 minutes prior to departure and please check the departure location carefully.

During busy times please allow additional time for parking and please contact us if you are running late.

Please note: If you miss your cruise your ticket is forfeited, non-transferable and non-refundable.

What should I wear and bring?

Please dress for the weather, keeping in mind that it is usually cooler on the water. We recommend bringing your Keep Cup and water bottle as well as your camera.

Is the boat BYO alcohol?

No, BYO is not permitted

Is there a licensed bar on the boat?

Yes, drinks available through our licensed bar on board at bar prices, with eftpos facilities available.

Will it be rough?

Our Bay Cruises are generally calm. On many of our cruises you may experience some swell and rough sea’s at times as we do cruise in open waters.
Our staff will advise all passengers booked if we have any added concerns about sea conditions at least the day prior. We suggest precautions against motion sickness.

Are there toilets on the boat?

Yes, there are unisex and disabled toilets on board.

Are we allowed to use drones or underwater gopros on poles?

Due to statewide wildlife regulations and with the safety of marine life in mind we do not allow the use of drones or underwater go pros on poles on any of our cruises. Please contact us if you require more information.

We must also remind you that anywhere around marine mammals in the state of Victoria the following restrictions apply:
All aircraft (including helicopters and drones) must:
  • not approach within 500 vertical metres, within a 500-metre radius, of a whale, dolphin or seal
  • avoid approaching marine mammals from head on
  • avoid flying over, or passing the shadow of the aircraft over, marine mammals
  • not land on water to observe whales
  • move away if a marine mammal shows signs of disturbance.

Can we bring our dog on board?

No, we don't allow dogs on board our vessels

Do our boats have designated seating?

No, seating is not designated, and you are free to move around throughout the cruise (unless otherwise advised by the captain or crew).

If you would prefer inside seating, we suggest arriving earlier for boarding, but we cannot guarantee inside seating.

What happens if I miss my cruise?

If you miss your cruise departure time your ticket is forfeited, non-transferable and non-refundable.

Can I reschedule or cancel my cruise?

Yes, if we offer a flexible cancellation and transfer policy as stated below, if you would like to cancel or transfer your cruise please contact our office.

Any cruises departing from Phillip Island or San Remo

a) For cancellations up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure time: full refund of the Booking Price (except groups/charters); and

b) For cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled departure time or in case of no-show: Results in forfeit of tickets, non-transferable and no refund.

Wilsons Promontory
Any cruises departing from Port Welshpool

a) For cancellations up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time: full refund of the Booking Price (except groups/charters); and

b) For cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled departure time or in case of no-show: Results in forfeit of tickets, non-transferable and no refund.

What is accepted for concession tickets?

For concession tickets, we accept seniors, student, and pension cardholders

What discount do Companion Card holders receive?

Companion Card holders receive 50% discount off an adult ticket on all cruises. Please call or email our office to enquire and make bookings.

What age range are the child tickets?

Child ages are 3-15 years, with 2 years and under free of charge

Can infants come on the boat?

Our shorter cruises are perfect for all ages, however children of all ages must always be under adult supervision.

On our longer cruises we ask that you are confident that your infant child will okay for the duration of the cruise and take steps to ensure both the infant and their guardian do not get sea sick as someone is required to be able to care for the infant at all times.

Are there any restrictions for younger children?

For passengers safety, to access the front deck you are required to be over 1 metre tall. We also require that all children be supervised by an adult or guardian throughout the cruise

What is a family ticket made up of?

Two adults & two child tickets
